One of the animes that has attracted the most attention this year, 2022, is undoubtedly Chainsaw Man. The anime is premiering its last chapter of the first season today, closing on Crunchyroll.
Undoubtedly many of you have seen something about this anime because there have been incredible cosplays, conversation groups, a huge fandom club worldwide, and a lot of hype for the animated series.

And now, December 27, 2022, the day of the season closing chapter, many will wonder what now? Will we get to see more of this fantastic anime?
The bad news is that, for now, there is no official confirmation that there will be a second season. Still, considering the success of Chainsaw Man and how sales of the manga have grown, the renewal is practically assured even more.
WHAT ABOUT SEASON 2?
Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga already has 12 volumes, and the anime has covered approximately half of the first part, so there is still enough material to adapt into at least another 12-episode season and be able to conclude the first part of the story.
Then comes 'Chainsaw Man 2', the next part of the manga that presents us with a different dynamic with more characters, which also perfectly serves to continue the anime adaptation.

The problem comes because MAPPA is now one of the hot anime studios, and it has a very tight schedule. Only in 2023 will they release the second season of 'Vinland Saga', 'Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill,' 'Hell's Paradise,' the second season of 'Jujutsu Kaisen' and the end of 'Shingeki no Kyojin.'
MAPPA has invested heavily in 'Chainsaw Man,' so it's not likely they want to let go of the license. But with the frenetic pace of studio production, we will have to wait until 2024 at the earliest so we can see more series episodes. We may have a slightly longer season, but first, let's hope that the final announcement of the renewal will arrive soon.
Chainsaw Man is available on Crunchyroll.
