There is a wide variety of genres in video games that many of us may not have played enough of. One of these may be the indie genre, where many gamers have found what they consider to be underrated games or even "gems."

In the last few years, we have seen an increase in popular games, and although a few had the opportunity to be nominated for and win different awards, as of today. many indie games have come out to show their great potential and have been loved by many and got so much recognition to known by the whole gaming community.

For this beloved genre, we have brought a few games that we want to recommend you try before the end of 2022, but don't worry: you have the whole year 2023 to play and discover several of these games that could be your future favorites. But that's enough as an introduction: let's start with the recommendations!

Cult of the Lamb

Who would've thought being a lamb that leads a cult could be so fun? In Cult of the Lamb you can start your sect in a land of false prophets, venture through the diverse and mysterious regions to build a faithful community of forest followers, and spread your Word to make your sect the one and only true one.

The award-winning game One Hand Clapping is a vocal 2D platformer that will help you gain self-confidence, how? You might ask. Well, in this title you must solve puzzles, by singing or humming into your microphone, and find confidence in the power of your voice as it changes the world around you.

Blasphemous

If you are a fan of the Dark Souls-like games and the Metroidvania genre, you will love Blasphemous. The game developers The Game Kitchen describe their great title as a challenging action-platformer that combines fast-paced, hack-n-slash combat with a deep and evocative narrative, presented by exploring a huge universe made up of non-linear levels.

STRAY

A game nominated for the Game of the Year in 2022 in which you play as a cat, you heard it right. In STRAY will be lost, alone, and separated from family, as a stray cat that must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find their way home.

CARRION

October is not the only month for playing horror games, every month is a good month! And this title is not the type of horror you expect. CARRION is a reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origins, stalking and consuming those that imprisoned you.

It is available on Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Luna, and PC.
