Who doesn't love to go on an adventure? Looking for companions with whom to share epic stories, battles and friendships forged in iron. Although we may already have a group with whom we go into Valorant lobbies to get violent with each other, meeting new people is always a breath of fresh air.

For that, we can always count on MMOs, a type of game in which complete strangers share space within a video game and interact to complete quests. It's like the fun version of real life. At LevelUp, we know that you will always prefer to fight the boss of a dungeon than the boss of your office; that is why today we bring you five options of MMOs on steam so that you can start playing today and get so invested that you forget to go to do the weekly grocery shopping.

5 MMOs on Steam that you can start playing today

Elder scrolls online

Explore a rich, living world with friends or embark upon a solo adventure. Enjoy complete control over how your character looks and plays, from the weapons you wield to the skills you learn – the choices you make will shape your destiny. If you like Skyrim, you will love this game. The playstyle and feel are almost identical, and the community, in my experience, is very welcoming.

Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis

ARKS are the brave warriors who defend Planet Halpha against the mysterious life forms known as DOLLS. There are some known as Meteorn who frequently land in Halpha from outer space via pods. They have extraordinary abilities, and many are devoted to battle as a member of the ARKS. This is by far the game where I found the most awesome community of all the rest. The character creation is amazing and they often have collaborations with different brands, like Persona, Sonic, Sword Art Online, Konosuba, and many more. This game is perfect for making friends and spending hours just lobby grinding.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Final Fantasy XIV takes place in the fictional land of Eorzea, five years after the events of the original 2010 release. At the conclusion of the original game, the primal dragon Bahamut escapes from its lunar prison to initiate the Seventh Umbral Calamity, an apocalyptic event which destroys much of Eorzea. One of the most popular MMO titles right now, this adventure will bring endless hours of fun for you and your friends.

Black Desert

Black Desert Online takes place in a high fantasy setting and revolves around the conflict between two rival nations, the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia. Calpheon is very materialistic whereas Valencia is very spiritual. With beautiful graphics and settings, this Korean title offers amazing customization options and fun classes. Despite not having dungeons and other classic MMO elements, it is definitely a title to try with your friends. The combat system is fun and challenging, and you will never find yourself doing nothing.

Destiny 2

Dive into the world of Destiny 2 to explore the mysteries of the solar system and experience responsive first-person shooter combat. Unlock powerful elemental abilities and collect unique gear to customize your Guardian's look and playstyle. Enjoy cinematic stories, challenging co-op missions, and a variety of PvP modes alone or with friends. This title will keep you hooked for hours and hours, with a ton of content and quests to do, you will find yourself addicted in no time. The combat is fun and the graphics are amazing; the gameplay is fun & smooth, and the soundtrack is excellent.

In case you missed it: Crunchyroll announces a new Game Boy Color game: Hime's Quest.

There you have it, five incredible options to start playing today. Whether it's using firearms or exploring a dungeon with your sword and shield, you'll have hours of fun and surely find a new group of friends to hang out with! And who knows? Maybe we will run into each other there.
