1. The Promise (graphic novel trilogy)
The Promise picks up right after the series finale, then jumps a year, where we see what a huge burden it is for Zuko to try to rule the Fire Nation.
Due to the pressures of the throne, Zuko asks his best friend, Avatar Aang, to do whatever it takes to stop him if he loses his way.

2. The Search (graphic novel trilogy)
It focuses on the mystery surrounding Ursa, Zuko's mother. The new Lord of Fire discovers what happened to his family, and to find his mother, he asks for the help of his friends: Katara, Sokka, and Aang.
But they will not go alone, Princess Azula will accompany them, but her reasons for seeing her mother again are not as innocent as her brother's.

3. The Rift (graphic novel trilogy)
In this trilogy, Aang and his friends lay the foundations of what will become Republic City.
The Avatar discovers that an ancient spirit wants to destroy a city sacred to the airbenders, so he and his team must stop it at all costs.
4. Toph Beifong’s Metalbending Academy
Things are looking bright at the Beifong Metalbending Academy! But after all the adventures Toph's had with Aang, Sokka, Zuko, and Katara, the whole thing feels a bit dull. Luckily, Sokka and Suki visit and reintroduce some familiar faces from their wandering days. And while out and about to celebrate, Toph discovers something that just might put the sparkle back in her eye…
5. Smoke and Shadow (graphic novel trilogy)
Ancient spirits known as the Kemurikage appear in Zuko, and Zuko must be removed from power, or the Fire Nation will fall.
These supposed spirits motivate a society called New Ozai to organize a coup to remove the young Fire Lord from the throne.

6. North and South (graphic novel trilogy)
While Aang helps Zuko with his country's problems, Katara and Sokka finally return home to find their old village turned into a prosperous city ruled by their father, Hakoda.

7. Imbalance (graphic novel trilogy)
Team Avatar arrives at a Fire Nation refinery, where they find none other than Toph's father, who still hasn't forgiven his daughter for abandoning him.
Instead of a welcoming quality, Aang and his friends are greeted with indifference and hostility, arriving just as tensions between teachers and non-teachers are at their highest.
