The Legend of Zelda is one of the most relevant sagas in the gaming industry; after more than 30 years, the franchise is still one of the most popular in the gaming communities.

Nintendo has always been working so that each time the fans feel satisfied and with the expectations fulfilled with each installment of the saga. There are more than 25 games in the saga, and each one gives us an incredible experience.

VIDEO GAMES INSPIRED BY THE LEGEND OF ZELDA

FAIRUNE
FAIRUNE

Fairune is a 2018 video game initially released on mobile and for the Nintendo 3DS; it is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game features a colorful and retro style, and the story is about a heroine who embarks on a grand adventure to find three “Spirit Icons” to lock away evil. The player must overcome all kinds of challenges in the form of puzzles, combats, and various mysteries while getting weapons and improving skills.

There are currently 4 Fairune video games: Fairune, Fairune 2, Fairune Origin, and Fairune Blast. All these games can be found in a collection for the Nintendo Switch called: Fairune Collection, which has an approximate price of $10.

The first game, Fairune, is inspired by the old Zelda games, especially the first, The Legend of Zelda, and the sequel is more inspired by the Game Boy Color games, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages.

Okami is an action-adventure video game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom; it was released in 2006 in Japan and 2007 in the West.

In the game's story, you will become Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess who has taken the form of a legendary white wolf on her quest to defeat Orochi, an eight-headed demon and tyrannical monster that is turning the world of Nippon in a land of ruins. The game is also notable for its Sumi-e-style graphics.

What was the inspiration for the creation of Okami for The Legend of Zelda? It turns out that the same director, Hideki Kamiya, said that the Zelda saga was an extreme influence on the game's overall design. Okami focuses on combat, puzzles, and exploration with its side quests.

A franchise heavily influenced by Zelda games is Oceanhorn; of all the Zelda games, the one he is most inspired by is The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

These games were developed by Cornfox & Bros. and published by FDG Entertainment; the first game in this series came out in 2013 and is called Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas. The franchise currently has 5 video games, some available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The game's main story is about the hero of Oceanhorn, a hero who takes a small sailboat to explore a series of islands where dungeons are located. The game takes an aesthetic quite similar to The Legend of Zelda games; the protagonist's clothing, even his shield, is quite similar. EVOLAND
EVOLAND

Evoland is a 2013 role-playing video game developed and distributed by Shiro Games, a French developer company. It is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and mobile.

This video game gained quite a bit of popularity this year precisely because of its strong inspiration from The Legend of Zelda. In Tunic, the story is about a little fox who, waking up in the middle of the beach without knowing what has happened to him before, embarks on an adventure to find out what has happened to him without thinking twice. Armed with a sword and a shield, he will explore a fantastic universe full of secrets.

Genshin, like Zelda, emphasizes exploration; you can fight or catch monsters, climb, climb, eat, sleep, go to dungeons, and do puzzles. Aesthetically and musically, the game is also heavily inspired by the latest Zelda title.

When the Genshin game was released, the media was full of news about it due to the possible plagiarism it could represent with the Zelda game.
