Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is now available and has been met with excellent reception. Some players wasted no time purchasing a copy of the MachineGames title, while others chose to enjoy it through their Xbox Game Pass subscription.

However, some fans of the adventurer were in for a surprise when they recently managed to get the best edition of the game for free. This wasn’t a giveaway from Xbox or a special promotion, but rather the result of an error from a digital store that inadvertently gave away copies of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Store Error Leads to Free Copies of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is the game of the moment, and everyone wants to play it. That’s why many were surprised when Wario64, a popular deals-focused X account, reported that a store was offering MachineGames’ title for free.

Unsurprisingly, this wasn’t part of a promotion or special giveaway—it was due to a mistake. For some reason, Humble briefly listed copies of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at no cost.

Naturally, some players took advantage of the opportunity to add the game to their collection and save $69.99 USD, the standard edition’s price. Humble quickly noticed the mistake and attempted to correct it, but stumbled again in the process.

When the standard edition’s price was restored, Humble inadvertently made the premium edition of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle available for free as well. As usual, Humble provided Steam codes upon purchase, which is exactly what happened in this case.

Several players reported successfully redeeming the game on Valve’s platform without issue. Some speculate that it’s only a matter of time before licenses are revoked, preventing them from playing the title as they didn’t pay for it.

Others on Steam hope that nothing will happen, allowing them to continue enjoying Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for free thanks to the store’s mistake. Lastly, some players encouraged the community to support the game by paying for it or playing it via Xbox Game Pass, the most affordable option.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Is Coming to PS5

Xbox Series X|S and PC players can now enjoy Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Initially announced as an Xbox exclusive, the game will also make its way to PlayStation thanks to Xbox’s new multiplatform strategy.

MachineGames’ title is set to receive a PlayStation 5 port, though it will take several months to arrive. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is slated for release on Sony’s console in the spring of 2025.
