Due to the immense popularity of its manga and anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become one of the most globally recognized Japanese franchises. As a result, Koyoharu Gotouge's creation has been adapted into various types of games, including fighting titles and a Mario Party-style game.
There’s exciting news for fans of the saga, as a new game based on the series was confirmed this morning. It's a new installment of Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles, a fighting game that was very well received.
Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is on its way
Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles was warmly received by players, as it was the first major game to adapt the action-packed and intense battles of the early arcs of the anime and manga.
Following its success, Aniplex decided to work on a sequel. The company confirmed that Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is currently in development. However, no information about its release date or platform availability has been revealed yet.
Regarding its content, Aniplex stated that the new installment will focus on two popular arcs from the series: Entertainment District and Hashira Training. Players will explore settings and meet characters from this part of Tanjiro, Nezuko, and their friends' journey.
Additionally, some lucky players will get an early glimpse, as the sequel will be playable at an upcoming event. Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be showcased during Jump Festa 2025, taking place from December 21 to 22 in Japan.
It’s likely that more details about the game will be shared during the event, which promises to build on the foundations of its predecessor to meet fans’ expectations.
