Pokémon TCG Pocket allows us to collect the iconic franchise cards digitally, participate in duels, and, soon, exchange cards. To interact with other players and test our skills, it's necessary to personalize a profile, which should include a name, an avatar image, and more.

Some users have taken advantage of this to use offensive names and disturb the rest of the community. In an official statement, The Pokémon Company confirmed that it will take several measures against these players.

The studio mentioned that its goal is to create a safe gaming environment where everyone can have fun pleasantly. Therefore, it will punish users with offensive names and even suspend their accounts.

“According to the terms of use, we will change the profile names of the accounts in question and warn their owners, or we will suspend their accounts or take other measures.”

How to avoid being suspended from Pokémon TCG Pocket?

If you don’t want to have problems with your Pokémon TCG Pocket account, all you have to do is follow the developers' terms of use. In this specific case, simply avoid using offensive words in your username or any reference to an insult.

For now, The Pokémon Company hasn't explained how the banning system will work. Therefore, we don’t know if players with bad behavior will be banned immediately after the first offense or after several warnings.
