Who needs a PS Portal when you can get creative?

Many things can be said about the PlayStation 5, except that it's an easy console to carry around. That’s why a player decided to take matters into his own hands and create a sort of portable PlayStation 5 to move around his home without issues. Unfortunately, when he showed it off, he received a response no one expected.

Player Needed an Easy-to-Move PlayStation 5, So He Built it Himself

On Reddit, user scp_euclid_object decided to share his problem with the community. It turns out he’s a dad, so he doesn’t have much access to the TV, or any specific spot in his home. Because of this, he decided to create a kind of portable PlayStation 5 to let him play anywhere in his house.

“A year ago, I made a portable PlayStation setup for my needs, because I’m a dad and don’t have much access to a TV, and to be honest, I don’t have constant access to any specific spot. So, I decided to create something I could grab and hide in a minute (I store it in a closet when I’m not using it); with just one cable and no overheating issues,” he explained.

Thus, this player created a unit attached to an arm to hold a portable monitor. His console is stored in one of the drawers, where he also keeps some of his physical games like Hogwarts Legacy.

We know what you're thinking: yes, something like this could be an overheating nightmare that will ruin the console sooner rather than later. That’s why scp_euclid_object installed two fans to serve as a cooling system for the drawer. It sounds good, but is it enough? The creator of this solution says yes.

“I haven’t done any real measurements. I can only judge by how the PlayStation 5 case feels after long sessions and how hot the air inside the box gets. In both cases, it doesn’t even feel warm. So it’s good enough for me,” said scp_euclid_object when asked if the solution worked.

“What you did is very sweet, but very sad at the same time”

Community Thinks This PlayStation 5 Creator’s Situation is Sad

This player's idea is very creative, so it caught the attention of many users; however, many didn’t respond as expected. Instead of applauding his work or asking how he did it, they pointed out that he is living in a sad situation.

“What you did is very sweet, but very sad at the same time,” commented Sa3ana3a.

“‘To be honest, I don’t have constant access to any specific place’ Oh, honey,” remarked Wandering—_—soul.

But why exactly do they think it's sad? Many assumed that, with his words, scp_euclid_object meant that he was constantly moving, which he clarified was not the case. That said, others understood that it’s a sacrifice this player has to make for the joy of being a dad.

And you, what do you think about this creation? Would you like to have something like this, or do you think there are more elegant solutions? Tell us in the comments.
