Hannah, the upcoming release from the Mexican studio SpaceBoy, is one of the most ambitious projects in the Mexican video game industry for many reasons, such as featuring music by a Grammy winner and detailed motion capture. If you’ve been following its progress, you’ll be excited to know that it finally has a release date.
When and on what platforms will Hannah debut?
In an official statement, SpaceBoy confirmed that Hannah will be released on October 31, 2024. This means it will arrive just in time to celebrate Halloween and bring its dark atmosphere to players around the world.
Initially, Hannah will be available for Xbox and PC (via Steam). That said, SpaceBoy is already working on versions for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles. We will stay tuned and let you know when those versions are available.
Hannah is an ambitious Mexican project
As we mentioned, Hannah stands out as one of the most ambitious projects we’ve seen in the Mexican video game industry. But why? We say this because SpaceBoy has put a lot of attention and dedication into delivering a quality production.
One of the most important aspects of Hannah is that it features motion capture like that seen in major AAA productions. All sessions were done at SpaceBoy using Vicon technology to deliver smooth animations that make the experience more immersive.
Additionally, it features music by Adrián Terrazas, a Mexican multi-instrumentalist and composer who collaborated with The Mars Volta. His work with the progressive rock band earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance in 2008.
