Hogwarts Legacy was a resounding success, so it's no surprise that Warner Bros. is already working on a sequel. However, it seems that this isn’t the only surprise the company has in store, as a recent report claims that the acclaimed title will also get a Definitive Edition in the coming months.

According to the details, fans of Harry Potter will have several reasons to return to this open-world adventure, which was highly praised by both players and critics. A reliable source revealed information about the new content it will supposedly include, along with hints about its release date and price.

Tom Henderson, one of the industry’s most reliable sources, claimed that Hogwarts Legacy will have a Definitive Edition with new content that will add several more hours to the adventure inspired by J. K. Rowling’s work.

His report reveals that the new RPG edition will feature a mission that expands the story, more side quests, additional activities to complete, and new outfits. This would add between 10 and 15 more hours of gameplay to Hogwarts Legacy, which will undoubtedly be enticing for many fans.

As for the release date, there’s no exact date yet. Henderson only mentioned that it will arrive sometime in 2025. He also noted that players who already own the base edition of the game will be able to get the new content for an additional fee, estimated to be around $20 or $30 USD.

At the time of writing, neither Warner Bros. nor Avalanche Software has confirmed a new edition of the Harry Potter title. However, journalist Jason Schreier stated earlier this year that members of Rocksteady were working on a new edition of the game, so there are already some hints in that direction.
