After months of waiting, Dragon Ball Daima is finally available on Crunchyroll. Many Dragon Ball fans have already tuned in to watch it and were surprised by the quality of the animation, as well as its new characters and villains.
In the first episode of Dragon Ball Daima, we met Dr. Arinsu, Degesu, and Gomah, new antagonists in this adventure, but who are they? Here’s everything we know about them.
Who is Dr. Arinsu?
First, let's talk about Dr. Arinsu, the main person responsible for all the conflict we see in Dragon Ball Daima. She is a young and attractive demon scientist with an important connection to a character we already know.
What is it? It turns out that Arinsu is a Makaio-shin, which likely isn’t surprising given her appearance. What shocked many, however, is discovering that this makes her the sister of Shin, the main Kaio-shin of Universe 7. The nature of their relationship is unknown, but we imagine they aren’t very close.
Something to keep in mind is that Dr. Arinsu appears to be the mastermind behind the antagonists of Dragon Ball Daima. We say this because she is responsible for convincing Gomah to go against the Z Fighters. Thus, although her fighting power remains to be seen, everything indicates that Goku and company will have to watch out for her high intellect.
It’s important to note that, although we first saw Arinsu in Dragon Ball Daima, she seems to have had an impact on significant events in Dragon Ball Z. What happens is that she left the Demon Realm shortly after Dabura and Babidi did. Some even believe that, from the shadows, she might have played a key role in the Buu saga. We’ll see what surprises future episodes of Dragon Ball Daima have in store.
What Do We Know About Degesu in Dragon Ball Daima?
The next antagonist in Dragon Ball Daima is Degesu. As you can see, he is also a Makaio-shin and the younger brother of Shin and Arinsu.
We know little about Degesu, but it is clear that he has negative feelings toward Shin, especially regarding his relationship with mortals. This is because he believes that species like humans are inferior beings and that Shin shouldn’t care about them, much less be concerned with their well-being.
Who Is Gomah, the Smallest Antagonist in Dragon Ball Daima?
Unlike Dr. Arinsu and Degesu, Gomah is not a Makaio-shin. Rather, he is a demon who becomes the new king of the Demon Realm after Dabura’s death.
Gomah is the one who comes up with the idea to turn Goku, Vegeta, and company into smaller versions of themselves. His idea is that they cannot use the Dragon Balls to wish for an end to those responsible for defeating Buu. So, they believe the best option is to shrink them to defeat them more easily.
