With a roster of more than 182 fighters and plenty of content, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is the biggest installment in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. That said, there are still many beloved and popular characters that are glaringly absent. It seems that the DLC will try to fix that, and we finally know when the first fighters will debut.
Before the official launch, Bandai Namco hinted that the fighting title will expand in the following months with new and additional content. In that vein, they promised that the first Season Pass will include more than 20 fighters, although the identity of most remains a mystery.
Now, the video game developed by Spike Chunsoft is already available to the public. The team in charge of the project took the opportunity to share more information about the DLC packages that will arrive in the coming months.

Let’s remember that the first Season Pass is included in the Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, but interested players can also purchase it separately for $469 MXN or $34.99 USD. The package is already available for purchase, and its description revealed interesting information about its content and release.
According to the information, this wave of additional content will be divided into 3 packages. The initial one will arrive in the first quarter of 2025 and will focus entirely on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the animated movie that debuted in 2022. The first confirmed fighters are Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, and it’s likely that Gohan Beast, Cell Max, and Piccolo Orange will also join the roster due to their importance in the storyline.
On the other hand, the second DLC package will also debut in the first quarter of next year. It is unknown which fighters it will incorporate, but we already know that it will focus on Dragon Ball Daima, the new anime produced by Toei Animation that will begin airing in October.
Finally, the last and third part of the first Season Pass of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will also focus on Dragon Ball Daima and will be released sometime in the second quarter of 2025. For now, the only character from this animated series that is in the game is Goku (Mini), so it’s likely that miniature versions of other fighters or the main antagonists will be added to the roster.
Season Pass holders will be able to use the fighters 3 days before their official release thanks to the early access period. Additionally, they will have the right to summon Shen Long to obtain additional outfits, unlock hidden characters, or gain large sums of Zeni.
Let’s remember that this week, details of a new supplement called Martial Arts Pack were leaked, although its content disappointed a sector of the community.
