Star Wars has many classic titles that are beloved and have left a mark on generations of players. One of them debuted in the year 2000, offering plenty of Jedi action to players on the original PlayStation and Dreamcast. We’re talking about Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, a game from Lucasfilm Games that will soon return with a remaster.
Aspyr surprised fans of George Lucas’s franchise by announcing a re-release with multiple improvements for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, fans of the space saga will have to be patient, as it will be ready next year.
Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles returns remastered in 2025
As the name suggests, the action-adventure game is set in the era of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, allowing players to control popular characters like Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, and Qui-Gon Jinn. One of its main appeals was the ability to play local co-op throughout its 10-level campaign and multiple mini-games.
The remaster of Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles will feature improved graphics, modern controls, 13 characters unlocked from the start, the ability to play any level, as well as versus and training modes. Of course, it retains the local co-op multiplayer.
Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles will return to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on January 23, 2025. Players will be able to add it to their collection for $19.99 USD.
