There's good news for fans of mecha games, as it was confirmed today that a promising title from the genre is coming to the service and will be available from its debut with a subscription to Microsoft's service.
MechWarrior 5: Clans will be another day 1 release for Xbox Game Pass
This morning, Piranha Games pleasantly surprised Xbox players by confirming that MechWarrior 5: Clans will be a day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass. In case you didn’t know, this sci-fi saga is set in the BattleTech universe, which has gained considerable popularity over the years.
Its most recent installment, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, was released in 2019 and was well received. As a result, Piranha Games decided to work on MechWarrior 5: Clans, a new standalone release that will offer exciting and challenging combat with massive robots.
The game will debut on October 16, which is next week. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for $49.99 USD. Additionally, the studio will offer a Digital Collector’s Edition for $79.99 USD, which will include various rewards such as skins, weapons, an art book, and more.
Xbox Series X|S users will be able to enjoy all the action of MechWarrior 5: Clans with a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, services that provide access to day 1 releases. In addition to combat, the game features mech customization systems and the ability to enjoy matches with up to 4 other players.
