While the PlayStation 5 Pro has sparked mixed reactions, there are many excited about the performance some games will reach on Sony's new console. Although more than 8,000 titles will see improvements, a select group will stand out, as developers are working specifically to harness the full power of the new hardware, and one of the latest additions to this list is a game owned by Xbox.

Diablo IV and Vessel of Hatred to receive enhanced version for PS5 Pro

According to a post by Rod Fergusson on X, both Diablo IV and its expansion, Vessel of Hatred, will be among the titles receiving special enhancements on the PS5 Pro. This will be marked with the "PS5 Pro Enhanced" seal, ensuring noticeable improvements in performance, graphics, and other details made possible by the power of Sony's console.

On the subject, Blizzard's vice president and general manager of the Diablo franchise said, "I've been getting this question a lot lately, and I'm happy to confirm that Diablo IV and Vessel of Hatred will be enhanced for PS5 Pro. We’re incredibly proud of our team that worked hard to make this happen. More details will be shared at a later date."

As part of the PS5 Pro launch, which is set for November 7, Sony held pre-sales for a special 30th-anniversary edition that sold out instantly. However, pre-orders for the standard PS5 Pro model have not sold out in major markets like the U.S. and the U.K., which is both good and bad news. It's good because there will be availability during the holiday season, but bad because it suggests the PS5 Pro may not sell as well as the PS4 Pro.

Sony also announced that the PS5 Pro’s Game Boost feature will benefit over 8,000 games, though this doesn’t mean that all titles will run at 60 FPS or higher, as some games capped at 30 FPS by the developers won’t be changed.
