Their success has paved the way for new projects, one of which is The Alters, originally scheduled to debut this year, but that will no longer be the case.

The Alters, the new title from 11 bit studios, is delayed until 2025
Polish studio 11 bit studios announced that their upcoming video game, The Alters, will no longer launch in November this year and has been rescheduled for a 2025 release. According to official information, the studio’s executives and development team realized there was still work to be done, and it was impossible to release the game in good condition during the holiday season. As a result, the best decision was made: to delay its release to ensure a high-quality product.
Regarding the delay, 11 bit president Przemyslaw Marszal stated: "The production schedule for The Alters was very tight. There was uncertainty about whether developers would have enough time to complete all the work to the quality we all expect. After so many years in production, the risk of releasing the game with some deficiencies is unnecessary for us."
What is the new release window for The Alters, and is it still coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Although the delay is unfortunate given the studio's reputation, not all the news is bad. The Alters is now scheduled to debut in the first quarter of 2025, adding to the long list of highly anticipated titles set to release next year. It was also reaffirmed that 11 bit studios’ latest game will launch on day one on Xbox Game Pass.
The Alters is a strategy and survival game where players control researcher Jan Dolski during an expedition on an unknown planet. One of his discoveries is Rapidium, which, in combination with the quantum computer on his ship, allows him to create clones of himself, but these clones come from alternate timelines where Jan Dolski's fate was different. Thus, you’ll have clones with various professions and specialized skills. With a crew on board, it’s time to survive, explore at night, and manage resources by day. However, the clones will soon begin to question their reality, leading to problems.
Speaking of 11 bit studios, their recent release, Frostpunk 2, has already recouped its development and marketing costs, a milestone achieved within just a few days. From now on, everything will be profit, and this is even before the sequel launches on consoles and Xbox Game Pass, set for 2025 .
