Although it started as a simple martial arts adventure, Dragon Ball has evolved into a festival of transformations and power levels. Of course, video games explore this popular aspect of the franchise, with some even taking the liberty of including original forms never before seen in the official anime and manga.
This is the case with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the popular game by Bandai Namco and Dimps. Although it debuted back in 2016, it still maintains a very active community thanks to regular updates adding DLC and other features. In that line, the new story arc introduces an original transformation for Jiren and more characters.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: Jiren acquires the Ultra Supervillain form in the new DLC
In March of this year, Bandai Namco announced the new Future Saga, an original campaign divided into 4 parts. At that time, a new transformation was revealed: the Ultra Supervillain, which grants the user immense strength and aggression. This unprecedented form is created by Fu, the main antagonist.
The Chapter 1 of this downloadable content debuted on May 24, 2024, revealing that Goku Black and Vegeta were the first to access this powerful and dangerous transformation. Now, the new teaser for the second part reveals that another popular character will also be able to use this form.
We’re talking about Jiren, the leader of the Pride Troopers and the most powerful warrior of Universe 11. He first appeared during the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super, where we saw him max out his power and gain muscle mass during his battle against Goku.
Now, the first preview of Chapter 2 of the Future Saga in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has confirmed that Jiren will also have access to the Ultra Supervillain form. Like Goku Black and Vegeta, he has a mysterious crystal embedded in his chest and emanates a powerful purple aura.
In the official trailer, we see the Universe 11 fighter battling alongside Fu against our avatar. At the end, we can observe Goku Ultra Instinct joining the fight. Notably, Bills, Champa, and Vermoudh are also present on the battlefield.
Bandai Namco has refrained from revealing the release date for Chapter 2 of the Future Saga and other significant content details. The first part is priced at $19.99 USD, so it's likely the second will have a similar price.
