The Season 2 of Netflix's live-action One Piece is highly anticipated, not only because Season 1 met expectations but also because it will mark the debut of more characters, among which one of the most beloved stands out. Today, Netflix finally revealed it for the first time.
This week, the company celebrated Geeked Week 2024, during which it provided updates on several productions in development. Today it was One Piece’s turn, showcasing a short behind-the-scenes video.
The material doesn’t reveal much about the plot of Season 2 or the elaborate sets, as it focused on the first script reading, allowing us to see the artists who will bring the characters to life in the new episodes. Of course, Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu Arata (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), and Jacob Romero (Usopp) were present, reading some of the lines they will say in Season 2.

However, the biggest surprise was saved for last when Godoy showed Tony Tony Chopper, the 5th member of the Straw Hats, who will join the adventure in Season 2 to take care of the crew's medical needs.
Although the glimpse is extremely brief and only shows the back of Tony Tony Chopper, fans are very happy because Netflix will fulfill their wish to see this beloved character with CGI animation.
The bad news is that Netflix did not take the opportunity to announce a release date or window, so fans will have to continue waiting for the series to debut sometime in 2025. You can watch the video below.
