Xbox users will need to be patient to enjoy the collection

The reveal of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics sparked a lot of excitement among players. However, it also led to disappointment for Xbox users, as the title was announced for all platforms except for Microsoft's consoles.

In recent weeks, there has been much discussion about why such attractive releases skip Xbox systems. Additionally, fans have tried to understand the reasons behind the absence of this and other notable titles on Xbox consoles.

After a long wait, there’s finally some good news for Xbox players, as it has been confirmed that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection will indeed have an Xbox version. However, there's some disappointing news as well: the title won't arrive anytime soon.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection is coming to Xbox One, but not this year

Through the franchise's social media, Capcom confirmed that its upcoming fighting game collection will indeed be released for Xbox. They revealed that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection will have a port for Xbox One, but there’s no specific release date yet.

This news may disappoint some players, as Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection won’t arrive on Microsoft’s system until 2025. Meanwhile, the rest of the players will receive it digitally on September 12, with a physical release on November 22.

Capcom encouraged Xbox players to stay tuned, as more information about the port will be shared in the future. However, the company did not clarify why the title will take several more months to debut on Xbox One.

According to reports, the main reason is technical. Sources indicate that various Capcom games have not reached Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S due to the older MT Framework engine.

On the other hand, it was mentioned that Capcom and Xbox are working to address this issue. Today’s news opens the door for other Capcom titles that skipped Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S to receive ports in the future.

Recently, the studio announced Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which was also confirmed for all systems except Xbox. There’s a possibility that this collection will follow the same path as Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection and arrive on Microsoft’s consoles months later.
