In case you don’t remember, World's Edge, TiMi Studios, and Xbox Game Studios partnered to bring the franchise to new horizons and expand its reach. This collaboration resulted in Age of Empires Mobile, a title for iOS and Android devices that now finally has a global release date.
When Will Age of Empires Mobile Debut?
Some players have already had the chance to try Age of Empires Mobile, as the game has been in testing for months in various regions. The good news is that everything is almost ready for its global launch.
The spin-off, designed specifically for mobile devices, will be available on October 17, so fans only have a few more months to wait before enjoying it on their smartphones and tablets.
According to the studios, Age of Empires Mobile aims to introduce and bring the strategy franchise to players around the world. The idea is for enthusiasts to take the action with them wherever they go.
“Partnering with TiMi Studio Group means we can combine their expertise in mobile games with the strength of our franchise and history to bring a new version of Age of Empires to more players, in more places,” said Michael Mann, director of World's Edge.
The game retains the strategy elements and large-scale battles of the series, but everything is adapted to provide a fun experience on iOS and Android mobile devices. The developers promise it will be an immersive game.
