Report claims the system won’t take as long to arrive as expected

Reports and leaks about the Switch 2 keep coming. Recently, a reputable analyst discussed the launch window and the possible price of Nintendo's next console.

The source agrees that the system will still take months to be unveiled and released; however, they are more optimistic and suggest that there is a chance the Switch could debut during the first half of next year. As for its potential price, there is also good news.

In recent days, various sources have claimed that Switch 2 will take longer to arrive and that developers do not expect it to launch within this fiscal year, which ends in March 2025. Hideki Yasuda, an analyst at Tokyo Security, has given hope to players who want to get their hands on the console early next year.

In a report, he stated that the console should be available on the market in the first half of the year. Although it may not arrive between January and March, he speculates that the system could debut between April and June. However, he did not provide a more exact release window.

His information aligns with that of other sources, who also claim that the console will arrive sometime in the second quarter of 2025. This is an important season for the industry, so the report makes sense.

As for the price, Yasuda bets that the Switch 2 will debut in stores at a cost below $499 USD. This means that it would be cheaper than the original PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with disc drive, which would undoubtedly be very appealing to players.

However, the reality is that Yasuda's information is not confirmed. Nintendo has been very secretive about everything related to its next hardware, so the Switch 2, its price, and its official release date remain a mystery.

If the launch window is correct, it would mean that Nintendo will confirm the first details of its new console sometime later this year, followed by its reveal with the corresponding lineup of titles.
