Subscription services are gaining more ground in the industry. In addition to offerings like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, other projects are seeking to cater to users across multiple platforms and ecosystems simultaneously.

This morning, it was confirmed that PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players will soon be able to experience a new subscription service. This news will excite many fans of the brand, as this launch will allow them to enjoy over 1300 classic games.

This will be possible thanks to the arrival of Antstream Arcade on Sony consoles. It’s a streaming service that debuted some time ago with an attractive catalog of titles on Xbox and PC.

Antstream Arcade has a huge catalog of classic games that can be enjoyed via streaming. The service offers titles from systems like Amiga, Amstrad, Atari, Game Boy, Lynx, Genesis, NES, SNES, PlayStation, ZX Spectrum, and a wide variety of arcade games.

Now, the service and all its games will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Antstream has not yet confirmed an exact date for the platform’s arrival on Sony’s consoles, but it is expected to be soon. It will be available for subscription through the PlayStation Store.

The service is offered for an annual fee of $39.99 USD. There’s also an option to invest $99.99 USD for a lifetime subscription. The catalog includes games like Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Earthworm Jim, Smash TV, Mortal Kombat, Double Dragon, and many more.

Additionally, Antstream confirmed that it is working on various new features for the service. Among the most attractive are a new interface, rewards, more customization options, competitive features, and more. There is no exact launch date for these improvements yet.

Moreover, the service will soon support games developed with Pico-8 and titles created with Net Yaroze, the development kit for the original PlayStation. So, its game catalog will be even larger in the coming months.
