Phasmophobia already has a new release date on PlayStation and Xbox, when will the horror game debut?

Phasmophobia debuted in 2020 and, within days, became a phenomenon among PC players who love horror. Because of this, many players have been patiently waiting for a console port; however, the title has taken a long time to arrive on PlayStation and Xbox due to various unforeseen events.

Originally, the viral title was set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in August of last year, but there was a fire at Kinetic Games' offices. So it was delayed to October. Then it suffered another delay due to some development complications and was left without a date.

Fortunately, things have improved, and the studio is close to completing the port. For this reason, they were encouraged to confirm a new release date, which will be ideal for fans of the genre.

Phasmophobia will be ready on consoles for Halloween

Kinetic Games did not reveal an exact date for the arrival of Phasmophobia on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but they did confirm that the game will come to consoles along with the Halloween event they have planned for this year.

Thus, this means that the game will be available on Sony and Microsoft systems on October 31 or even a little earlier. Previous thematic events have taken place in the second half of the month, and the same is expected to happen in 2024.

On the other hand, the studio guaranteed that the game will receive cross-play with the new release and that the console port will work perfectly. To achieve this, they have worked with Unity, as this will guarantee excellent performance.

"We are collaborating with Unity to work on the console release as well as general performance optimizations for both console and PC, ensuring the console version runs optimally and meets the high standards we set for the game," said Kinetic Games.
