This highly anticipated adaptation was announced in August 2019 with a release window for 2020. However, the production faced many difficulties due to the impact of the pandemic. Subsequently, its release was postponed to October 2022 and then to 2023.

It seems that the wait is almost over, as Production I.G plans to launch the anime this year. There is no exact release date yet, but it is almost certain that the 4-episode series will arrive in 2024.
