Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will not be coming to the Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, which has many players worried and upset. Part of the community has organized to create various petitions to ensure this release isn't left out of Microsoft consoles.
Player James Betts decided to turn to Change.org to ask Capcom and Xbox to do something about it, as these games are very important to the entire brand community and, of course, to fighting game lovers.
Fans create petition for the Marvel vs. Capcom collection to come to Xbox
In his post, Betts claims to be a big fan of Capcom and a passionate fighting game enthusiast. He acknowledged that he was very excited following the reveal of the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics; however, he was disappointed to see that it would not be coming to Xbox.
“I'm writing because I have a very big concern! I have been a huge fan of Capcom fighting games since Street Fighter II: The World Warrior and today they released a video for their upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom collection, and I was so excited until I started to investigate. our not releasing on any Microsoft platforms. Is there a real reason?”, wrote the player, questioning Capcom.
The fan asked the studio not to rule out this release for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as users of these systems have no legal way to access the titles in the collection. For this reason, he believes that the fairest solution is for the games to also come to Microsoft systems.
“Please me and a lot of the Xbox community have been begging for this collection for years along with everyone else! Please don't leave us out. We don't have a way to access neither of these games legally. Me and other's Xbox fans have supported your collections and games. Please give us your game too! I can die a happy man plus this would look nice next to my other Capcom collections titles and other games!,” added the petition creator.
Those who have supported the post fully agree and believe that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics should come to Xbox. At the time of writing, the petition has collected 1118 of the 1500 signatures that make up the goal.
Change.org already has other petitions related to this highly anticipated collection, demonstrating the great interest in the fighting franchise and the desire of Xbox fans to enjoy this title.
