Is Xbox out of the console business? Not at all. Microsoft's brand not only reaffirmed its commitment to the sector but also strengthened its hardware offerings, staying true to its idea of providing more gaming options for all its users.
The Xbox Series X All Digital is real and coming this year
During the Xbox Games Showcase, Sarah Bond, President of Xbox, announced the lineup of Xbox consoles available this holiday season. First, she confirmed the rumored Xbox Series X All Digital. This console has no disc drive, which is expected to lower the price, and comes in robot white. It also includes a 1 TB SSD.
The standard Xbox Series X will have a special edition
Next, the standard Xbox Series X was announced in a special edition featuring a new galaxy black and green color scheme, iconic to Microsoft's brand, as well as a 2 TB SSD. This edition retains support for physical formats with a Blu-ray drive, making it the choice for those who prefer to have their games in this format.
The Xbox Series S gets an upgrade
Finally, a new model of the Xbox Series S was revealed, following the concept of the Carbon Black that was released some time ago. This is the Xbox Series S in robot white, which doesn't differ much from the current model, but the novelty lies in its storage unit as it will have a 1 TB SSD, sufficient to have an acceptable number of installed games and much better than the standard model which only has 512 GB, not fully available due to the operating system.
