Some players made harsh criticisms of the Ninja Theory and Xbox title

After a long wait, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is finally available. Fans of the franchise were delighted with the new installment; however, there are also players who are apparently not at all happy with the results.

We tell you this since the Xbox exclusive suffered the infamous review bombing on Metacritic, a platform where it registers some very low ratings from the gaming community. There are all kinds of criticisms of the sequel, but one of the most recurrent is that it lacks interactivity and is more of a movie than a game.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II was not spared from review bombing

At the time of this writing, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II registers a 7.5 rating from gamers. That figure has changed over the days, as the sequel was the target of review bombing. Its review section is filled with ratings of 0 and other numbers below 5. One of the main arguments from gamers is that the title feels more like a movie than a video game.

“As an Xbox fan, i can't accept that... This game is not a game, it's a playable movie where we can do nearly nothing! The gameplay is 0, the promess are all broken! I can't believe what i bought...,” stated one person.

The rest of the similar reviews agree with that comment. They highlight the graphical, narrative and atmospheric section of the game and rate it a 10. However, they state that the gameplay and length of the title are its clear weaknesses.

“I had free demos on Commodore Amiga that were longer and more playable 30 years ago... I understand the frustration that reigns in landscape Xbox given the decline that the brand seems to have... but this is not a video game. You are a spectator, no matter how technically valid, if you don't play and interact,” said another person.

Of course, most of the community disagrees with this stance and believes that Ninja Theory did an excellent job and delivered a highly memorable experience.
