Dragon Ball Daima will debut at the end of the year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Its arrival is very important for fans, especially after the departure of Akira Toriyama, creator of the series. Despite this, the production has not stopped generating controversy among some fans of Goku and company.
Toei Animation, Shueisha and Bird Studio recently released new promotional art where the protagonist is seen in his boy form alongside Shen Long and the anime's logo. Some fans were excited about the image; however, many others were disappointed for one reason.
Fans of Dragon Ball are not happy with new promo for Daima
Dragon Ball Daima will feature Goku and his friends in rejuvenated versions. They will be transformed into children for some reason that is still unknown, but that will be very important for the story of the new anime.
For such reason, in all the trailers and images of the production we have seen Goku in his child form. The new art is no exception, as it shows the protagonist with a look that reminds fans of the Goku from the first series and Dragon Ball GT.
Some people were disappointed with the image, as they are tired of Toei Animation promoting the anime with practically the same art of Goku. Also, they noticed that the logo of the series has a defect, since the text box containing it is visible.
For this reason, several fans asked the company to take the promotion of Dragon Ball Daima more seriously, as it is an important production for the entire community. This despite the initial criticism for the approach that the series will have.
“You can see the textbox around the title, come on” and “You know what Toei, You guys using this same illustration for all the images making me feel irritated. Please use something new. Dragon Ball Daima does not have an exact release date yet, but it was confirmed that it will be aired in October 2024 through Fuji TV channel in Japan. We know that Akira Toriyama had a very active role in the planning of the series, so some fans are looking forward to it.
