The world and setting of Joker won over many fans of the iconic villain. For such reason, gamers have dreamed of a title inspired by the movie starring Joaquin Phoenix, which will soon have a sequel with Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.
A fan decided to make the project a reality and used the potential of Unreal Engine 5 to surprise players. He created an open world title where we can control Phoenix's Joker and even recreate some scenes from the movie.
Joker comes to life in an open world game made with UE5
Developer and youtuber TeaserPlay decided to use his talent to imagine an open world game of Joker. To do so, he recreated various locations from the popular movie very well and made a model of Joaquin Phoenix that looks pretty good.
The project takes advantage of the technology and various tools of Unreal Engine 5, the development engine of Epic Games, to offer a world full of details and environments that look spectacular.
TeaserPlay shared part of their work in a video, where we see the protagonist running through various streets, fleeing from the police and recreating the iconic dance scene on some stairs. The result surprised fans, who praised the project and called for its release.
However, its creator made it clear that this is only a proof of concept and that he will not release any of his game for obvious reasons. Gamers believe that some major studio should take up the idea and make a AAA of Joker.
