Gears of War is again on everyone's lips, as reports claim that Xbox and The Coalition are preparing the revelation of a new installment. Cliff Bleszinski, creator of the saga, recently used his social networks to complain and ensure that he is tired of a request from players.
Everything indicates that fans of the franchise have been asking him about the franchise's past titles and their possible return. The issue is that Bleszinski got upset and asked gamers not to ask him anymore about games he doesn't have the rights to.
Cliff Bleszinski is fed up with being asked to bring back certain games
While Cliff Bleszinski did not reveal which titles he is being asked about, several messages make it clear that some of them are the first installments of Gears of War. Several social network users have asked him for remakes of the trilogy or a project like the rumored remastered collection that has not been confirmed.
"Please stop asking me to bring back games that I don't have the rights to. It's exhausting. I've moved on. I wish y'all would too," the visibly upset developer wrote.
In response, some gamers suggested that he buy the rights to Gears of War to make his dream come true. Others chastised him for leaving the series and allowing Microsoft to buy the rights to existing and future titles in the franchise.
All this comes after reports of an alleged imminent reveal of Gears of War 6, the next installment of the franchise that, according to rumors, will bet on a totally open world. The title would be revealed at the upcoming Xbox Game Showcase in mid-year.
In recent months, reports have also circulated about a collection that would include the remastering of several installments of the franchise. However, nothing has been confirmed and it is a fact that Bleszinski will not be involved in any future projects in the series.
