Stellar Blade caught attention for its combat system and its post-apocalyptic world full of monsters. Undeniably, it also stirred up a lot of discussion due to the appearance of EVE, its protagonist. In this regard, the project director made a recommendation to the fans.
The new PlayStation 5 exclusive promises to offer plenty of content. Previously, SHIFT UP studio head and action game director, Hyung-Tae Kim, revealed that players will be able to customize the appearance of the protagonist with up to 30 additional outfits.
In the free demo that debuted at the end of March and in promotional trailers, we have only seen a handful of the outfits that will be available in Stellar Blade at its official release. There's one particular suit that drew a lot of attention, but they don't recommend using it.

Warning: Stellar Blade's Best Suit Will Make the Game Harder
In a recent interview with the Japanese portal Famitsu, Hyung-Tae Kim revealed more information about the highly anticipated action title from SHIFT UP. There, he shared new details about the Skin Suit, a special outfit known for its texture.
Regarding this, the director of Stellar Blade explains that this suit attempts to simulate the texture of skin, giving it a unique finish that sets it apart from other outfits in the game. However, he reminds that it has a significant impact on gameplay and will make the experience much more difficult by completely removing one of the defensive advantages.
As previously mentioned, the Skin Suit deactivates the shield, causing EVE to take more damage from enemies and significantly reducing her defense. Therefore, Hyung-Tae Kim recommends players to use another suit instead.
"There's one thing I'd like to warn you about. The outfit has no defensive function. Since there's no shield, you'll take much more damage and can lose quickly. We recommend you use as many suits as possible; otherwise, the game will be much harder," the creative commented in the interview.
Although Stellar Blade garnered much attention for its artistic direction, it also promises to offer fast and agile combat reminiscent of Sekiro by FromSoftware for its focus on parry. While the reception was positive, an important detail worried players, prompting developers to address it.
It's unknown whether this PS5 exclusive will be a commercial success, but SHIFT UP is confident in the project. According to new job postings, it seems the studio is already planning its next big game.
