The beginning of 2024 was, to say the least, quite peculiar. Although there were major AAA releases that captivated fans and were commercially successful, the most popular experiences came from the independent and AA scene. A new title recently debuted, capturing the interest of thousands, and the community begins to wonder if it will be possible to see it on more platforms.
Of course, we're talking about Content Warning, the latest project from Landfall Games. Surprisingly, it debuted on April 1 as part of the past April Fools’ celebrations and since then has built a large fanbase around it.
This new horror title debuted on Steam and was available for free for 24 hours thanks to a limited-time promotion. Over 6 million people downloaded it and it was able to gather more than 200,000 simultaneous players during its debut; however, console fans cannot join the fun.

Will Content Warning be on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S?
At the moment, the cooperative horror title is only available for PC via Steam. Due to its great popularity, a sector of the community wonders if it will come to more platforms in the future.
Regarding this, the developers of Content Warning left the door open to the possibility of porting it to Xbox or PlayStation in the future; however, they emphasized that there are some technical issues hindering the production of those versions.
"We still don't know! Currently, there are some technical aspects that make console versions difficult, but we will consider it," the studio said in statements to the outlet Game Watcher.
The horror title, in which players must capture ghosts and monsters on video to gain followers and likes on a fictional platform known as SpookTube, was made by a team of only 5 people in a period of 2 months.
In the interview, the developers highlight that they will release new updates as part of their support plans, but hint that patches could stop coming sooner or later. However, they have already stated that they will fix connection issues and other errors.
"We are not a games-as-a-service company, as we are a small team that likes to do many different things. But it's very likely that we'll update Content Warning for a while to see the response," the group in charge of the project said.
Landfall Games studio is also responsible for Totally Accurate Battleground Simulator, a Battle Royale that made the leap to consoles shortly after its original release on PC. With this in mind, it is possible to see Content Warning on more platforms, but it's best for fans to wait and see.
But tell us, have you already played this proposal? Would you like it to come to consoles? Let us hear from you in the comments.
