Xbox Game Pass: A PlayStation game and 2 other titles leave the service

Subscribers can enjoy the sequels to 2 of the games that disappeared

Month after month, Xbox Game Pass surprises players with new games joining its extensive catalog; however, there's also the flip side of the coin, as some titles depart from the library and are no longer available. This time, users will no longer be able to enjoy 3 very interesting offerings, although the situation isn't dire.

The subscription service lost some big titles in the first 3 months of 2024. In addition to Grand Theft Auto V, Madden NFL 22, Soul Hackers 2, OPUS: Echo of Starsong, and more games ceased to be available at no additional cost. Moreover, the intriguing Ereban: Shadow Legacy from Baby Robot Games canceled its day one release.

In the coming months, other experiences will also bid farewell and cease to be part of the Microsoft program. While we wait to find out which titles those will be, 3 offerings left the service on March 31st.

MLB The Show 23 and More Games Say Goodbye to Xbox Game Pass

As promised in mid-March, 3 games departed from the subscription service during the final moments of the month. There's bad news for sports fans.

The first game to leave the service's library is MLB The Show 23, a baseball simulator from PlayStation Studios that allows users to participate in matches of the popular sport. The second is Hot Wheels Unleashed, an arcade racing experience where players get behind the wheel of some of the most beloved cars from the toy series while racing on wild tracks.

Finally, the third and last game bidding farewell to Xbox Game Pass is Infinite Guitars, the rhythm game with RPG elements developed by the Nikko Nikko studio. It should be reiterated that all the aforementioned titles left the service on March 31st, so users who wish to play them will have to purchase them separately. However, there's some good news.

Although MLB The Show 23 and Hot Wheels Unleashed are no longer playable at no additional charge, subscribers can enjoy their sequels, which joined the catalog at the end of March. Specifically, MLB The Show 24 and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 are already available for free through Microsoft's program.

Here are the games leaving Xbox Game Pass:

  • MLB The Show 23 ― March 31st
  • Infinite Guitars ― March 31st
  • Hot Wheels Unleashed: GOTY Edition ― March 31st

On the other hand, Xbox Game Pass will enrich its library in April with the addition of at least 9 titles. One piece of good news is that there are more than 5 day one releases during the upcoming month.
