The leaks about the PlayStation 5 Pro do not stop. Now there are details of the alleged improvements that will have the titles optimized for the Sony console. We know that compatible games will be distinguished with the label "PS5 Pro Enhanced", which will be useful for both gamers and developers.
Studios will have to meet certain requirements for their games to fall into that category. Thanks to a new report from Insider Gaming, we know the conditions that Sony requires for this. This means that came to light some of the improvements that will have the games on the console.
How will the PlayStation 5 Pro improve games?
According to the details, games enhanced for PlayStation 5 Pro will have to meet certain requirements. Sony wants studios to offer a new exclusive graphics configuration mode, which will only be present in games optimized for that console.
What will this mode offer? Insider Tom Henderson reveals that it will have to offer a constant 60 fps, add or increase the ray tracing effect and use PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology to reach 4K. Any game that meets all of these parameters will fall into the "PS5 Pro Enhanced" category.
Sony is looking to be accessible to developers, so it will also let them use that category in their games if they meet at least one of the following enhancements listed below:
- Increased target resolution for titles that run a fixed resolution on the standard console
- Increased target maximum resolution for titles that run at variable resolution on the standard console
- Increased target frame rate for titles that target a fixed frame rate on the standard console
- Inclusion of PS5 Pro Raytracing effects
