Xbox Game Pass has had an outstanding year. In the first months of 2024, subscribers were able to enjoy great day one releases at no additional cost. Fortunately, the good streak continues, and it was recently announced that an interesting title will arrive on the service next month.
At the beginning of March, it was confirmed that the Microsoft program's catalog will grow with the addition of 5 new video games, all of which will arrive on day one. Luckily, there is still room for surprises, and a few days ago, it was confirmed that another previously announced title will also join the service in April.
Harold Halibut already has a date and confirms its day one release on Xbox Game Pass
We're talking about Harold Halibut, a project developed by the studio Slow Bros. The first time we heard about it was in 2021, but it wasn't until 2023 that it was confirmed to arrive on Xbox Game Pass at some point this year. After a long wait, its release date was finally revealed.
Specifically, the responsible company announced that this stop-motion-made title will be available starting on April 16, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The good news is that it will arrive day one on Microsoft's service, so console subscribers will be able to play it completely for free.
For those unfamiliar, Harold Halibut is a narrative science fiction game that promises to offer an emotional story about friendship and the meaning of life. The protagonist is Harold, a young lab assistant who works aboard an underwater spaceship.
The most remarkable aspect of this title is its striking and original presentation. The thing is, all the animations and character models are handcrafted using the stop-motion technique. According to the description, it will also feature full English voice acting.
These games will arrive day one on Xbox Game Pass in April
Harold Halibut is just one of the many titles that have already confirmed their joining of the service's library next month. The good news is that subscribers will have very busy weeks.
