There is very good news for Star Wars fans, as Disney has just revealed new details about The Acolyte. The new series of the franchise already has a release date, so fans of the saga can already mark their calendars to enjoy this production set in the era of the High Republic.

When will The Acolyte debut on Disney+?

Through a press release, Disney confirmed that The Acolyte will debut on Tuesday, June 4 on Disney+. On that day, fans will be able to enjoy the first 2 episodes of the series, which will give us a glimpse into the heyday of the Jedi Order and a new threat.

The series will tell us the adventures of a Jedi starring Lee Jung-jae, who will have to deal with a female warrior played by Amandla Stenberg. The story will give us a glimpse into a dark path where sinister forces will put the High Republic at risk.

The production also features actors such as Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo and Carrie-Anne Moss. The series is helmed by Leslye Headland, who was showrunner and executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef.
