Video game fans are divided into camps after learning the information. On the one hand, there are people who believe that the system is simply not needed, as the current PS5 has not given its all. On the other hand, a portion of the community is excited about what the system could offer.
Gamers give their opinion on the rumored PlayStation 5 Pro
The leaked technical specifications of the PlayStation 5 Pro have surprised a portion of the community. Some gamers are excited about the system's supposed potential and believe it will be great to enjoy certain upcoming titles on it.
For example, quite a few PlayStation fans claim that it will be the ideal console for playing Grand Theft Auto VI. They believe that Rockstar's game is the ideal pretext to make the leap to the rumored system and leave their current PlayStation 5. They even believe that the studio will work to optimize the title especially for the said system.
On the other hand, some gamers believe that a more powerful overhaul of the system is totally unnecessary. This is because, from their perspective, the generation has not yet gotten off to a good start and the PlayStation 5 has yet to offer its full potential.
"Personally speaking no, I don’t want a PS5 Pro. Or a Series XL. The current consoles haven’t been tapped, and the climate is just absolutely wrong in every way for them," said one gamer.
It is important to note once again that Sony has not confirmed the existence of the PlayStation 5 Pro. Various reliable sources claim that it will debut sometime later this year or early 2025. However, it is still a rumor.
