Helldivers 2 took the world by storm and became one of the most played titles of 2024. While PlayStation 5 and PC players enjoy the fast-paced action, many Xbox fans are hoping for a port to Microsoft's consoles. In response, a group of creators plans to offer an alternative in Halo Infinite.
The cooperative video game from Arrowhead Game Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment debuted in early February exclusively for PC and PS5. It was an immediate commercial success, gathering thousands of players on Steam.
Naturally, many are not happy with the exclusivity. Fans launched a petition and collected thousands of signatures to encourage developers to create a port for Microsoft platforms, while Phil Spencer lamented the absence of Helldivers 2 on Xbox.
Although hope dies last, it seems unlikely that the game will make its way to Xbox Series X|S. Now, the group The Forge Falcons has taken on the responsibility of creating an alternative in Halo Infinite using the robust level editor.

Fans want to recreate Helldivers 2 in Halo Infinite
One of the most important features of Halo Infinite is the Forge mode, which offers many tools that allow players to create their own maps, game modes, and experiences. Despite its limitations, it has proven to be a very robust feature.
The group The Forge Falcons stepped forward and asked its followers if they would like to see an experience similar to Helldivers 2 in the 343 Industries game. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from the community, they made an exciting announcement.
Specifically, the group confirmed that they will get to work to recreate the concept of the Arrowhead Game Studios multiplayer in Halo Infinite through the Forge mode. Details are scarce, but they promised to reveal more information when the "art is ready."
Of course, many fans were skeptical and believe that it is impossible to simulate the Helldivers 2 experience on the Xbox exclusive. The Forge Falcons confessed that they won't be able to replicate the progression system and other elements but are confident that they will be able to recreate the intense action and more features.
"Players will fight together, but not on the same scale as Helldivers 2. As always, our goal is to impress, and that's what we'll do here, again," commented the group of creators.
The Forge Falcons is one of the most recognized groups in the Halo Infinite community. Last year, they gained notoriety thanks to the release of a very robust Battle Royale mode that surprised players.
Interestingly, a former 343 Industries developer suggested on social media that a Halo spin-off very similar to the PS5 and PC exclusive was planned, but it seems that the project never came to fruition.
But tell us, are you excited about this project? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments.
