Pokémon will soon turn 28 years old, and it is expected to celebrate with a Pokémon Presents loaded with announcements. One of the most rumored projects in development is the remake of Pokémon Black & White, and a new clue seems to solidify this possibility.
The Pokémon Company announced today the first details of its plan to celebrate the franchise's 28th anniversary and revealed that, in collaboration with The Toy Foundation, it will work with the Empire State Building. From sunset on that day until the early morning of the next day, the iconic New York skyscraper will be adorned with the colors of Pokémon (yellow and blue).
Additionally, The Pokémon Company will make a philanthropic donation of $10,000 USD to The Toy Foundation to support children in need in New York.

Will The Pokémon Company soon announce the remakes of Pokémon Black & White?
The Pokémon Company mentioned that the lighting of the Empire State Building will also commemorate the upcoming release of the new anime era, Pokémon Horizons, which moves on from Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu but retains Pikachu as the project's mascot through Captain Pikachu, who will actually appear on the skyscraper's observation deck. However, fans believe there may be another hidden motive.
What raises suspicions is that The Pokémon Company chose New York to celebrate the series' 28th anniversary, as it is believed to be intentionally done to also promote a possible announcement of the remakes of Pokémon Black & White.
In case you didn't know, the region of these games, Unova (Unova), is based on New York and can be seen in Castelia City, a city known for its towering skyscrapers. Furthermore, Pokémon Black & White will celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2025, leading to the belief that everything is set for The Pokémon Company to announce the return of Unova, either through remakes or a new title in the style of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
The Pokémon Company, however, has not announced any livestream yet, but it is assumed that it will do so soon, considering it has held such presentations every anniversary since 2021.
