A few days ago, HBO and Naughty Dog confirmed that actress Kaitlyn Dever will be Abby in Season 2 of The Last of Us series. Bella Ramsey, who brings Ellie to life, recently gave her thoughts on this choice and others rounding out the cast for new episodes of the hit production.
Bella Ramsey is happy that Kaitlyn Dever is Abby
During a brief interview with GamesRadar+, Ramsey gave her thoughts on the new actors and actresses who were cast to play important characters in Season 2. From her perspective, they did a great job signing Isabel Merced (Dina), Young Mazino (Jesse) and, of course, Kaitlyn Dever (Abby).
"I’m incredibly happy with who has been cast. It’s exciting for me. I’m happy to have a whole new bunch of people come and join the family. It’s gonna be a lot of fun," said the young actress.
Later, she told that she had the opportunity to meet Dever during an event, where they exchanged phone numbers to stay in touch. Ramsey believes the actress was a great choice, so she is excited to work on the new episodes.
"I’ve met Kaitlyn once in the most stupid place [at] a gala. I met Kaitlyn there very briefly when we were waiting for our cars. I knew they were talking to her about casting at that point, so it was just sort of quietly like ‘Hey’ and shared numbers and stuff. She’s excellent, Isabel and Young as well, I’m really excited to get going with all of them," Ramsey added.
