Pocketpair title continues to generate controversy and discussion among gamers

This weekend, Nintendo shared a video on X to promote Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. The company's message drew a lot of attention from the community, especially given the resounding success that Palworld achieved in a matter of very few days.

Once again, comparisons between the franchises were inevitable, but this time there were multiple mockeries of the titles from Nintendo and Game Freak. Part of the community assured that Palworld is much better and that they won't play Pokémon until it gets better.

Palworld players lash out at Pokémon

As you probably already know, Nintendo and Game Freak have been heavily criticized for the current state of Pokémon and its most recent games. Many consider the franchise stagnant and in dire need of renewal, as it is one of the most popular sagas in the industry.

In its video, Nintendo shares some curious details about Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, but apparently they didn't catch anyone's attention. We tell you this since the response section is full of criticism of the franchise and praise for Palworld.

There was everything from mocking the graphics and the unambitiousness of the Switch games, to constructive criticism where Nintendo is asked to do something to take their popular franchise to another level. There were also gamers who claimed they will never go back to Pokémon after playing Palworld.

"Dear Nintendo for the love of god evolve your series. Pokemon is so behind in everything it's honestly sad to see. As a jaded fan of your franchise, you guys refuse to evolve this thing which is ironic considering what Pokemon is all about anyway," said one player.

On the other hand, there were fans who defended Pokémon and affirmed that the franchise is still good; however, they accepted that it needs to improve in several areas for future releases. Below you can see Nintendo's video and some responses:
