Recent rumors claim that there will be a remastered collection of God of War. One fan of the franchise decided to go ahead and take this possible project one level further. To do so, he used Unreal Engine 5 and created an impressive trailer showing what a hypothetical remake of the first game in the saga would look like.

This is what a remake of God of War with Unreal Engine 5 could look like

The YouTube channel TeaserPlay shared a video that left PlayStation fans amazed. It shows an interesting project that recreates Kratos and various locations with Greek temples in Unreal Engine 5.

The result is amazing, as the project takes advantage of Epic Games engine technologies to look amazing. The details of the scenery, lighting and character modeling look so good thanks to the use of Lumen, Nanite and ray tracing.

Its creator clarified that this is only a concept trailer, as he has no intentions of recreating the first game completely or anything like that. Players praised his work, as they think the results are excellent and look great.

Some fans of the franchise believe that PlayStation and Santa Monica should give them a similar treatment to the first games in the series. Several gamers are not satisfied with the idea of only seeing remasters of the classic titles.

The fan-made project is only intended to show how good the saga would look with the power of Unreal Engine 5. For that reason, the video only shows Kratos walking through various locations, so don't expect combat sequences. Below you can watch the video:
