CD Projekt RED knows what it's like to experience both heaven and hell after the events with The Witcher: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. The studio is well aware of its successes and failures, so their upcoming titles should, in theory, avoid going through unstable ground. The planning for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel has begun
A report from Wccftech shared some posts on social media from CDPR creatives who are part of the Orion project, the codename for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. The start of this development process is quite positive, after all, the dystopian future work managed to recover and show a face closer to what we thought it would have after years of anticipation.
In this regard, Igor Sarzyński, narrative director, expressed great excitement about the start of the Orion project, considering what was done and presented in Cyberpunk 2077 as a "warm-up": "First day in the Boston office! It's a pleasure to meet old friends and officially start our journey with Orion. I couldn't be more excited about this project, and I'm sure we can make it something special. 2077 was just a warm-up."
Pawel Sasko, mission director, also expressed happiness about returning to the office and the start of the development that will become the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077: "So good to be back in the office—already in snowy Boston!
