The Last of Us: Part II immediately became one of the most controversial proposals in recent years. Players can revisit Ellie's adventure in a remastered version that, among other novelties, features a mode not suitable for "faint hearts."
In mid-November, Naughty Dog and PlayStation announced The Last of Us: Part II Remastered, an enhanced version of the PS4 modern classic. In addition to technical and visual improvements, it includes new playable content promising hours of entertainment: a roguelike survival mode.
The No Return mode is the most appealing aspect of the remaster, allowing players to choose from 10 playable characters and engage in matches where improving equipment is crucial for survival. It seems that players who enjoy challenging experiences will find a formidable challenge in this mode.

No Return, The Last of Us: Part II Remastered's roguelike mode, will be very stressful
In a social media post, Del Walker, senior character artist at Naughty Dog, discussed the new mode debuting in The Last of Us: Part II Remastered and heightened the community's excitement. Specifically, he suggested that this unprecedented feature will offer a significant challenge that will put players to the test.
"I don't think you're ready for how stressful the survival mode of our title The Last of Us: Part II Remastered is. Not recommended for faint hearts," wrote Del Walker on his personal account.
It's not hard to see why the No Return mode of the remaster will be very stressful for a segment of the community. As a roguelike experience, players will lose their weapons, upgrades, and abilities upon death. Additionally, each session will end with boss battles.
This survival mode will allow fans to step into the shoes of Ellie, Abby, Dina, Joel, Jesse, Tommy, Lev, Yara, Mel, and Manny. Interestingly, each character will have their own combat style and abilities. Of course, there will be human and infected enemies.
But tell us, are you excited about this mode? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments.
