In the last few hours, news broke of the sad passing of Kamar de los Reyes, a renowned actor who participated in soap operas, series, and films. In the gaming world, he is known for his antagonistic role in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Through a statement, a family representative confirmed on Monday, December 25th, that the Puerto Rican actor lost his life on Christmas Eve in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was 56 years old when he passed away after a brief battle with cancer.

Kamar de los Reyes built a 30-year professional career

Kamar de los Reyes is recognized in the gaming world for his role as Raúl Menéndez, the main villain in the 2012 video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II. In addition to lending his voice, he participated in motion capture sessions. His character also appeared in CoD: Warzone in 2022 as part of Season 5 of CoD: Vanguard.

The actor was born in Puerto Rico in 1967 but was raised in Las Vegas, USA. In the late 1980s, he moved to Los Angeles to start his professional acting career. In the early 1990s, he participated in the play Blade to the Heat. One of his most well-known roles is Antonio Vega in One Life to Live, the popular ABC soap opera.
