Konami surprised everyone with the announcement of several Silent Hill projects in late 2022. One that drew attention for being a completely new installment in the series is Silent Hill: Townfall. Although the wait for more information has been silent, the studio in charge of the project shared encouraging news.
Despite being happy about the series' return, many Silent Hill fans have not been pleased with Konami's communication regarding the series' projects. They consider it was revealed prematurely, more as an announcement that the series would be back, though not necessarily soon.

When Will There Be News About the New Silent Hill?
For this reason, some fans are starting to get impatient, to the point where the studios developing the games have had to break the silence to clarify that it is not up to them to talk more about the games but rather up to Konami.
However, the studio in charge of Silent Hill: Townfall, No Code, just took to Twitter to communicate with its followers and comment on the state of the cryptic project.
The Scottish developer mentioned that they are still building a "nightmare" and that the project turned out to be "larger" than they imagined, which could be taken as a positive sign.
Unfortunately, they confirmed that they won't give any more "signals" of the development this year, and fans will have to wait until next year. They made it clear that it is a "promise" (via PCGamesN).
The bad news is that was all the information the studio shared, so we don't know the approximate date to expect the revelation of more details or whether it will include a new trailer or (why not?) a scheduled release before 2024, which is not ruled out but is somewhat unlikely.
