Exactly 1 year ago, it was announced that the talented and attractive actor Henry Cavill would collaborate with Games Workshop and Amazon to work on TV shows or a Warhammer 40,000 film. After a year of silence, there is favorable news about this highly anticipated project.
After Henry Cavill expressed his fondness for Warhammer, Games Workshop, the responsible party for the IP, contacted the actor, and it seems that this relationship did not end with an actor's visit to the studio. Instead, they would work on an adaptation that would bring the franchise to both the big and small screens through a project that Cavill would not only star in but also produce.

Through an entry on its official site, Games Workshop has just confirmed that they have reached a "complete agreement" with Amazon, so the project can now move to the "next phase" as contracts are already signed.
Judging by the new information, it seems that the project is just getting started, and there may not be any pre-production work yet. That said, the parties involved still need to define the project and decide what it will cover or where it will go, or if it will be not just one but more (the type of projection has not been defined yet). Once that is done, they would proceed to production and then to post-production before reaching the cinema or TV; the entire process could take 2 to 3 years, as warned by the company, so fans will need to be patient.
"All we can tell you for now is that an elite team of writers, each with their own particular passion for Warhammer, is joining to help bring the characters they love to the screen. This illustrious group will be led by Henry Cavill, who is ready to take his place as executive producer, bringing his pen, sword, or lance to the project," stated Games Workshop.
