Will Marvel's Blade come to PlayStation or will it be exclusive to Xbox?

Arkane's new game for Bethesda has caused a lot of confusion

During The Game Awards 2023, Arkane Lyon, a studio under Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios, revealed the first teaser for Marvel’s Blade, the latest video game based on the comic book vampire hunter. While the news excited the community, it also raised many questions.

Because this new title is the work of a Microsoft studio, fans wonder if it will be an Xbox and PC exclusive. Logic suggests that would be the case, but the absence of confirmation from the developers and other details in the announcement raised players' eyebrows.

Will Marvel’s Blade, the new comic book vampire hunter game, be exclusive to Xbox?

Amidst the discussion and theories, Alex Smith, who worked at Bend Studios and other companies in the gaming industry, claimed that the new comic book antihero video game will also come to PlayStation. However, this information lacks official confirmation.

Fans noticed that the reveal video lacks Xbox or PlayStation logos. The same goes for the official Bethesda website. As a result, it's uncertain which platforms this new game will be available on when it hits the shelves.

The Windows Central portal sought comments from Microsoft, but the technology giant refrained from providing clarification. In a similar vein, the VG24/7 portal contacted Bethesda for more information, but it seems the company refused to respond.

The truth is, for now, neither Microsoft nor Bethesda have made comments confirming or denying the alleged exclusivity of Marvel’s Blade. It seems that it will take some time for these doubts to be dispelled, as Dinga Bakaba, Arkane's developer, confirmed on social media that the studio "will remain silent for a while."

Why hasn't Xbox confirmed or denied the exclusivity of Marvel’s Blade?

If the game will only be available for Xbox Series X|S and PC, it makes sense for Microsoft to say so and show it off. In the case of multiplatform availability, it makes sense for the company to confirm it to avoid confusion. Therefore, it's noteworthy that they remain silent despite players' notable doubts.

According to the Windows Central portal, there might be a couple of reasons why the company refrains from commenting on this matter. First, it theorizes that Microsoft and Disney are still negotiating the exclusivity of Marvel’s Blade, and they will announce it when the deal is settled.

On the other hand, it is said that Microsoft refrains from talking about the exclusivity of Marvel's new video game because it is still fighting against the FTC, the US regulatory body seeking to halt the merger with Activision Blizzard.

This is mere speculation, so we will have to wait until Bethesda or Microsoft reveal more official information. It's worth remembering that Redfall, developed by Arkane Austin, is only available for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
