The revelation of GTA 6 left no one indifferent and is still the topic of conversation in social networks. The game from Rockstar Games already generated some controversy, especially since certain people want to ban it for a reason: they consider that it is not suitable for children and, therefore, should not be within their reach.
Players and fans of the franchise did not hesitate to come to the defense of the new release. They recalled that video games have an age rating system and that GTA 6 will be aimed at an adult audience.
People want to cancel GTA 6 for not being appropriate for children
The X Rev Laskaris account posted a message that caught the attention of all gamers. In it he asks to ban GTA 6, as he considers that what was shown in its first trailer is not suitable for minors. For such reason, he believes that the game should not be available to everyone.
"We need to ban GTA 6! Children should not be playing this game!" stated Rev Laskaris in his message, which he accompanied with the hashtag #BanGTA6. Other accounts joined this campaign and lambasted the content of the game's first trailer.
Other publications criticized Rockstar and claimed that it is "disgusting and disappointing" the content they show to minors in their previews. So they also raised their voices to ban the game from getting into the hands of children.
The gamers lashed out at all similar publications calling for the game to be banned and reminded that there are regulations such as the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and Pan European Game Information (PEGI) systems, which classify the content of games by age.
